Hi Greg, That is a beautiful and intriguing photograph. Hey, a lot more people have died slipping down embankments and steep trails than climbing rock faces. Glad you came back in one piece.

Thanks Mike and Ron! Mike, you'll love the Grand Staircase-Escalante; 4 days wasn't enough for me. I'm dying to get back up there. Ron, Neon is worth the visit, but yeah, its probably better to go in April, May, or October (or even a nice day in November).

Agreed that Angel's Landing is pretty crazy. But worth the effort--the view is amazing!

Great post Greg! For years now I have wanted to visit Neon Canyon - what an image! Don't know about that heat!

Glad you weren't hurt in the Subway!

Mike - Angel's Landing is pretty crazy for a "trail"!

Great post and great image as well! I'm particularly fond of it because I plan on spending some time in that same area next month and haven't been this excited for a road trip in a long time! No stories come to mind right away, except back in 2006 when I was hiking up Angel's Landing in Zion National Park with an extreme fear of heights. I literally got to the last half-mile and was crawling on my hands and knees for much of the way up. Interestingly enough on the way down all of a sudden something clicked and my fear had completely diminished. Rather than fearing the views I was now admiring them.
