San Juan Basin, New Mexico

The San Juan Basin is a large, south-sloping piece of land stretching from southwest Colorado into northwest New Mexico. Besides being very interesting canyon country, the San Juan Basin is rich in archaeological history. The images on this page are from early Navajo settlements, from the early-mid 1700s.
