A self-portrait taken standing in front of Clyde Minaret, the tallest of a group of jagged peaks called the Minarets, which are located in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, Sierra Nevada Mountains, California.

This image won an honorable mention in the 2014 Nature’s Best Photography | Wilderness Forever photography competition at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. This competition was held in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, and celebrates federally-designated wilderness areas.
