raven, corvus corax

The common Raven (Corvus corax) is a common bird across much of North America.  All corvids–the family Ravens belong to–are exceptionally intelligent animals, and I have always felt this is personified in their seemingly constant watchfulness.  This Raven was in Death Valley National Park, California.
