photo of a high altitude hillside with spruce and pine tress as well as red, yellow, and green vegetation as the landscape transitions into fall.

The Tushar Mountains, a small mountain range in southern Utah, sit on the cusp between the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau. The most accessible hike in the Tushars is to their highest point: Delano Peak at 12,169′. In autumn, grasses and low-lying shrubs change colors, making even this barren landscape very photogenic.
