jökulsárlón glacial lagoon

Jökulsárlón lagoon–Iceland’s deepest lake (and is less than 100 years old)–catches icebergs of all sizes from a nearby glacier.  The icebergs float serenely in Jökulsárlón before eventually washing out into the Atlantic ocean and up onto the beaches nearby.  As the icebergs float through the lagoon on their way to the sea, they take on bizarre shapes.  This scene reminded me of something out of a fairy tale.
