snow is blown through the foreground on a blustery winter day in a large stand of Joshua trees, all of which are covered in snow

Snow in the Mojave Desert is a rare occurrence, but when it does happen it’s magical. Here, a winter storm is blowing out of the area, making for almost inhospitable conditions. Snow is being blown hard and fast close to the ground, creating a fog-like appearance and the cold wind bites making one forget they’re in Southern California.
